NECO Releases 2019 May/June Exam Results
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2019 June/July Senior School Certificate Examination. The NECO Acting Registrar, Mr Abubakar Gana, made the announcement at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State. He disclosed that 71 per cent of candidates obtained credits in English Language and Mathematics
The Public Relations Officer of NECO, Mr. Azeez Sani, also confirmed the release of the results, noting that he marking of the answer scripts of the candidates took two weeks across the country and ended on Saturday, August 10.

According to Gana, 984,152 candidates representing 85.50 percent made Credit and above in English while 954,399 candidates made Credit and above in Mathematics. The registrar further disclosed that a total of 1,041,986 representing 89.90 percent made five credits and above irrespective of English and Mathematics, adding that the number increased by 0.5 percent.
The registrar said the June/July NECO exams is a success, noting that when compared to the 2018 exercise, there is an increase of 0.11 percent in candidates who scored five credits and above.
He however noted that the number of candidates involved in various forms of malpractice in 2019 increased with 40,630 cases recorded as against 20,181 cases recorded in 2018.
The over one million candidates 2019 NECO who have been demanding for their results to enable them begin admission for the 2019/2020 academic year can now rest easy.
Candidates are advised to proceed to the NECO official result checking portal: https://result.neco.gov.ng/ to check their results.
