WHAT IS JUPEB: It is the acronym Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board, It is an Approved, Proven & Certified Advanced level programme moderated by the University Of Lagos and having the coordinating body in various tertiary institutions and different study centres nationwide. HOW JUPEB WORKS: Prospective JUPEB candidates are required to select any THREE (3) A/L JUPEB Subject Combination plus Genel studies (English Language) identified with their preferred course of study in the university be it Science, Art or Social Science Course.

Candidates would then be lectured for the stipulated period at their respective Study Centre and thereafter sit for the final examination. On completion of the programme, successful candidates accordingly utilise their JUPEB certificate to secure admission into 200level in any Nigeria tertiary institution via JAMB.

JUPEB LEGIBILITY: JUPEB certificate is presently recognised and accepted in more than 70% of Nigeria federal, state and all private Universities. JUPEB PROGRAMME DURATION: JUPEB A’level programme runs for a maximum period of one academic session(9-10month) divided into two(2) semesters.

JUPEB PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY: The programme is open to all interested candidates nationwide and any course can be offered to be it Science, Art or Social Science.

Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board, that is the full meaning of JUPEB.  JUPEB Is a programme that is being moderated and supervised by University Of Lagos, (Unilag). Is a 9 to a 10-month course for advanced students (those who have finished their secondary school certificate) from Nigeria secondary schools to be able to be admitted into the second year at university of choice in combination with JAMB. 

With JUPEB, candidates can apply and study any course with the programme at almost Nigerian Universities that accept the final JUPEB result. Basically students who failed to use the only JAMB to gain admission into higher institution in Nigeria can use JUPEB in combination with JAMB D.E and the post UTME of the choice university and the admission chances is way higher if they already passed through the rudiment process of registration, admission into the various centres in Nigeria, attend lectures and register for the examination and come out with good JUPEB grade. Before candidates can use JUPEB to gain admission, the student needs to combine it with JAMB D.E form just like the polytechnic students.

This is Alevel Registration, we have been registering, admitting and distributing students for Alevel programmes (like IJMB, SAT) before  JUPEB came in 2014, and came online fully since 2012. And if you are reading this information, we are very sure you want to know more about the course that is why you are here. Now, we can basically tell you that we are here because you will be here. That is, we already know that you will want to find more about the JUPEB programme if you are just through with your O’level or JAMB and got disappointed again, we are very sure that you are looking for a better alternative so that you can meet your colleagues in 200 level who were fortunate enough to gain admission into university before you.

What Alevel Registration Does?

We know by now, you must have heard about JUPEB, you purposely come to this site to get MORE information about the JUPEB programme and how it works, and even to know how you or your wards can start the JUPEB programme with the rest of the other students.

Well before we continue let me assure you that JUPEB form is still available, so be rest assured that you or your child are having the opportunity currently. Though the lectures do start between September until June the following as JUPEB exams do take place nationwide by June. Now let us go to the main purpose why you are here. The full meaning of JUPEB is Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board – it is a programme being moderated by Unilag, Lagos ( University Of Lagos). When I said moderated by them, I mean they supervised and monitored the programme so that it wouldn’t dwindle to the extent where other universities wouldn’t like to associate with the programme anymore.

Not only that, they formulate policies and laws that governed the programme and other essential tool kit that show the headway of the programme, like the syllabus to follow, the needed requirements by the programme, and exam time table, all is being done by Unilag.

Before we continue, in summary, the main purpose of JUPEB. JUPEB is a ten months program in which you or your ward will go through and make final result, probably scoring a minimum of 5 points out of the total of 16 points, you or that your child will have the opportunity of gaining admission into 200 Level of any university of choice whether is of federal, state or private universities. That’s the main purpose why JUPEB is being the key and to some, one of  the best alternative route to gaining admission into university in Nigeria without JAMB 

How To Get JUPEB Form

If you have read through our previous posts, you must by now know how to get your JUPEB registration form.  To get the JUPEB form, you need to print out the from and fill the fields with capital letters, then pay the non-refundable fee of the JUPEB application fee of #15,000, then scan the teller and form to alevelsreg@gmail.com 

Well, I think I have made mentioned of the main purpose of JUPEB – is to see you through and gain admission into 200 Level of any university of your choice, except of course Unilag. And maybe what I forgot to add to it is that the JUPEB result does not expire, unlike UTME that you need to do every year. At a time, you can choose six universities of your first choice, second choice, third choice ………….etc till six choices in a single year.  

JUPEB Requirements

Before you can make use of your JUPEB results there is a primary requirement you are expected to have reached, which we think is no problem to you as a candidate. The primary requirement of anyone seeking to attend or register for JUPEB programme is to have his O level result complete, or at least use awaiting result, but in an expectation that you are going to write your O level result while the Jupeb programme is going on, since you can’t make use of it (the JUPEB result) without having your O level result completed.

Who Can Attend JUPEB Programme?

As long as you meet the minimum requirement of using waiting result you are good to attend JUPEB programme. JUPEB is not a program for the lazy, but it’s for those who want to get serious reading their books, not Facebooking.
